This Friday, we will be honored by reaching the Holy Mawleed Night, the night in which Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born.
Before the birth of Rasulullah ﷺ there were many people who chose idols as a partner to Allah (swt). Inside and around the Kaaba was full of idols.
In a time like this, Muhammad ﷺ dignified the world with his birth in Makkah, on the twelfth day of the month of Rabi Al-Awwal, which was on a Monday.
Allah (swt) says in Holy Quran the following: “Now has come onto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He is anxious over you, for the believers (he is) full of pity, kind, and merciful.” (Tawba/128).
We need to assess this holy night, Leyle-i Mevleed, on Friday, with ibadahs, reciting and listening the Holy Quran, attending speeches involving and commending Rasulullah ﷺ, praying Salat At- Tasbeeh and reciting Salawat-i Shareefahs. We need to recite many Salawat’s especially in this night.
Like in every subject, we mustn’t heed to what people who have gone astray say about the celebration of the holy Mawleed night. These people indicate as bid’ah for people who sincerely celebrate the honouring of the Prophet ﷺ. Bid’ah is to perform something as an ibadah which has no place in Islam.
The Ehl-i Sunnah read and listens to the holy Quran in this night. Other than that, the Prophet ﷺ commended the ibadahs made in these nights. Also none of the Ehl-i Sunnah Alims mentioned making ibadahs in holy nights as Bid’ah.
Subhanallah! How can worshiping Allah, reading and listening the Holy Quran be Bid’ah?
In this night, Ehl-i Sunnah Muslims attend to speeches mentioning Rasulullah (sas).
Subhanallah! How could listening and learning the life of Rasulullah ﷺ be Bid’ah?
In this night, Ehl-i Sunnah Muslims salute the Prophet ﷺ with salavat-i Shareefahs. Subhanallah! How could reciting Salavat-i Shareefahs be Bid’ah?
In this night, Ehl-i Sunnah Muslims read and listen to Mawleeds which commend and praise Rasulullah ﷺ.
Subhanallah! How could this be Bid’ah?
People who are not a part of the Ehl-i Sunnah, cant they endure the commendation and the praising of the Prophet ﷺ?
In the Mektubat-i Shareefah, Imam Rabbani (k.s.) considers listening, being together and also reading people’s books, who have gone astray, as a murderous poising. We must stay away from dangers like this in order to protect our Ehl-i Sunnah wel Jamaah itikaad.
Allah c.c. himself commends and praises Prophet Muhammed ﷺ in many Ayahs. Lets finish our article with one of these Holy Ayahs “And We have sent you (O Muhammad) not but as a mercy for the worlds. “ (El Enbiya/107)
